Subdivision Review

Description and Purpose:
The Madison County Subdivision Review Board is responsible for reviewing all new developmental inquires and lot split proposals.  It serves as a convenient one stop destination for the applicant, as the board is comprised of all the county agencies together at one meeting.

Board Roster:
Commissioners Office - Elmer Olson - appointed by commissioners / ex county extension agent. Represents the agriculture community.
Madison County Soil and Water Conservation District - Soil information and drainage.
Madison County Public Health - Well and septic issues.
Madison County Engineer's Office - Drainage, driveway placement, sub surface drainage and subdivision regulations.
Madison County Building & Zoning Office - Zoning codes compliance for lot splits, zoning districts developmental standards, flood plain review.
Madison County Economic Development & Planning - Represents the commercial and industrial inquiries

Meeting Schedule: 
Board meets on first and third Thursday at the Madison County Engineer’s office at 9:00 am.
