Overview:
The Madison County Board of County Commissioners is seeking a dedicated individual to fill one available board seat on the Central Ohio Regional Prevention Council. This is one of eight Regional Prevention Councils under the Ohio Children's Trust Fund which is a collaborative approach to addressing child abuse and child neglect at the local level.

Qualifications:
• Demonstrated commitment to serving the community.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of parenting support, family support, child abuse prevention, and community support.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.

Madison County Ohio Port Authority 
Position: Board Member

Overview:
The Madison County Ohio Port Authority is seeking dedicated individuals to fill two available board seats. The Port Authority plays a vital role in promoting economic development, fostering community growth, and enhancing the quality of life for residents in Madison County. Board Members will contribute their expertise, insights, and leadership to guide the Port Authority in achieving its mission and objectives.

Responsibilities: 
1. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with fellow Board Members to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the Port Authority's mission and objectives.
2. Policy Development: Participate in the formulation of policies and procedures to govern the operations of the Port Authority, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
3. Financial Oversight: Review and approve budgets, financial statements, and expenditures to ensure fiscal responsibility and transparency.
4. Economic Development: Support initiatives and projects that promote economic growth, job creation, and investment in Madison County, fostering partnerships with businesses, government agencies, and community organizations.
5. Infrastructure Development: Provide guidance on the planning and development of infrastructure projects, including transportation, utilities, and facilities, to enhance the county's competitiveness and attractiveness to businesses and residents.
6. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as ambassadors for the Port Authority, engaging with stakeholders, including government officials, business leaders, community organizations, and residents, to build support and awareness of its activities and initiatives.
7. Compliance and Accountability: Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and best practices in governance, maintaining the highest levels of integrity and accountability.
8. Board Meetings: Attend and actively participate in regular Board meetings, committee meetings, and special sessions, contributing constructively to discussions and decision-making processes.

Qualifications:
• Demonstrated commitment to serving the community and advancing economic development.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of economic development principles, finance, and governance practices.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in relevant fields such as business, finance, law, government, or community development is desirable.
• Residency in Madison County, Ohio, is preferred.

Appointment and Term:
Board Members are appointed by the Madison County Board of Commissioners for a 
term of four years, with the possibility of reappointment.
