Madison County - primed for significant growth!
Madison County is in a prime location and is poised for significant growth. The County is strategically located between the City of Columbus and the City of Springfield. Interstate 70, a major east-west highway in the United States, runs through the middle of the County. US 40, a major United States Highway that is also known as the Main Street of America, also runs through the middle of Madison County parallel to Interstate 70. A major exit on Interstate 70 in Madison County is the US 42 exit (Exit 79). The Madison County Board of Commissioners (“Commissioners”) are extending water utilities along the US 40 and US 42 Corridors to service this area. With sanitary sewer already available, the addition of water utilities will bring tremendous opportunities for development along these two corridors.
